2012 Santa Anita Derby Field and Breakdown

My God, I love all the Southern California tracks, but my betting fortunes over there have been less than stellar. It was at Santa Anita that I first learned I could make winning bets and lose money. It only took me about 20 times to learn that you actually have to make more money than you bet to "win". The justifiable favorite in the Santa Anita is Creative Cause. His early odds are 6-5, which really doesn't make him much of a win bet. If I make a win bet in this race it will be against CC and probably be a Liaison /Holy Candy exacta box. Just for fun I'll probably make a cheap suprefecta bet using Creative Cause, Liaison, Holy Candy, and Midnight Transfer.
