An Early Look at the 2012 Arkansas Derby and Blue Grass Stakes

Unfortunately, without seeing a line for either race, all I have is a foggy idea of what horses I will be using.

The horses that have my attention in the Arkansas Derby are: Optimizer, Secret Circle, Bodemeister and Raconteur. Unless the odds go to hell, you should be able to make some interesting bets. I think Optimizer wins the Arkansas Derby. Isn't He Clever and Stat may prove interesting. I've given up on Sabercat.

The Blue Grass appears to have a talented field too. Good horses abound, but can any of them challenge the great Hansen? I think Hansen wins the Blue Grass handily. As for bets...I'm not even going to speculate until I see the line.
