Big Daddy No Bucks' 2012 Kentucky Derby 138 Analysis

The over-the-top pageantry and thrill the rumbling hooves of 20 of the world's greatest 3 year olds creates as they race towards the first turn is guaranteed to take the breath away of even the most stoic of us. And then there is the stretch run: there are no other races in the world where the words, "and down the stretch they come" are nearly as rousing as they are at the Kentucky Derby. The Derby is truly the most exciting 2 minutes in American sports.
Of course the question is who is worth looking at when building bets? My bets will be focused around Union Rags, Dullahan, Bodemeister, and Gemologist. Other horses I'll play are likely to be Optimizer, Hansen, and Take Charge Indy (actually this is a bet on Borel). Hopefully this group of horses will provide enough go to make a few good bets.
If the track is off, Take Charge Indy and Calvin Borel will play a larger role in my bets. Two other horses I may work into my bets are Creative Cause and Daddy Nose Best. My long, long shot is Sabercat.
