Tiz Shea D is a Bill Mott trained colt sired by Tiznow. His dam is a Ender's Sister, a Mare sired by A.P. Indy. Purchased by Wachtel Stable, Tiz Shea D placed in the G3 Gotham last month and looked to be a serious contender for the first Saturday in May.
However, his fifth place finish in the Wood Memorial knocks him out of contention. He was ridden aggressively but simply outrun by better horses, many of whom will run in the Kentucky Derby. Tiz Shea D may be a late bloomer though, so an appearance in the Preakness or Belmont is not out of the question.
