General A Rod is a Roman Ruler colt who finished first, second and third respectively in the Gulfstream Park Derby, the G2 Fountain of Youth, and the G1 Florida Derby. Based on those performances, he's earned enough points to run for the roses in the Kentucky Derby.

General A Rod will end up as a long shot in the Derby, likely at 20-1 or higher. If he doesn't burn up too much energy early on, he'll be able to make a late push for it. A larger field will make things difficult, but if you're playing long shots he's a good gamble.
