Chitu is a Bob Baffert trained Henny Hughes and Sea Gift colt. He finished second in the G2 Robert B. Lewis Stakes and a win in the G3 Sunland Derby gave him enough points to qualify for the Run for the Roses.
Chitu breezed a half-mile at Churchill Downs yesterday with jockey Joel Rosario aboard. Chitu went four furlongs in 47 3/5 seconds and had a gallop-out time of 1:01 for five furlongs.
Chitu is one of the Baffert horses to watch next Saturday and will definitely make it into some of our exotics.
