American Pharoah is a Pioneerof The Nile colt trained by Bob Baffert. He's the winner of the G1 Del Mar Futurity, G1 FrontRunner, G2 Rebel Stakes, and, most recently, the G1 Arkansas Derby.
Bob Baffert's stable now consists of the winners of the Santa Anita Derby, the Arkansas Derby, and the Illinois Derby. And many who follow the sport think American Pharoah is the best of the group.
There's no doubt he's a winner, but we don't think he's the future Kentucky Derby winner. He might finish in the money, but he's never run in a very crowded field. The Kentucky Derby will have 19 or 20 contenders for sure. Can American Pharoah recovery from facing a little adversity? We'll have to see, but right now he's not our pick to win it all.
Check back tomorrow when we preview #7 on our list, Carpe Diem.
