Hoppertunity is an Any Given Saturday and Refugee colt trained by Bob Baffert. After a 4th place finish in the G2 Risen Star, he rebounded for a win in the G2 Rebel Stakes. He finished second to California Chrome in the Santa Anita Derby and looks primed for a good run in Kentucky.
Hoppertunity got his first exercise over the track at Churchill Downs yesterday morning, galloping 1 1/2 miles under Dana Barnes. While Hoppertunity was unable to catch California Chrome in the Santa Anita Derby, the extra furlong in Kentucky combined with a thicker field may work to his advantage this time around. Hoppertunity will definitely be included on some of our wager slips for this race.
