Vicar's in Trouble is a Mike Maker trained colt who won the G2 Louisiana Derby. Prior to that he won the G3 Lecomte and finished third in the G2 Risen Star. He has a small stature for a Derby contender.
"I would just say small for what you're expecting to see for a Derby horse," said trainer Mike Maker. "He's got a little tiny head," said jockey Rosie Napravnik. "Maybe that makes him look smaller."
Despite his size, he's got some big wins under his belt. He'll have some trouble trying to navigate out of post position #1, but that doesn't mean he won't end up in the money. If the odds are right, he may make for a good bet.
