Post Time Pete's Kentucky Derby Short List as of 4-23-2010

Nothing new this week, but we're only a week away! I've re-thought some of my picks and changed my list up slightly. Stately Victor now falls to #6, which puts him off my list for now. Lookin At Lucky slides up to #4 and is back in my top 5. I know he's fast, my concern with him is whether he'll be able to break through a field of 20 horses.

Eskendereya is still the heavy favorite and it's not hard to see why. I'm going against the crowd on this one only because I see something special in Sidney's Candy, but in a field this large anything can happen. If Eskendereya wins the Derby you can bet he'll be my #1 pick for the Preakness.

I'm sticking with Eskendereya for at least another week.
