Daisy Devine will be a strong favorite to win her third stakes of the year in Saturday's Grade 3, $100,000 Cardinal Handicap at Churchill Downs, a nine-furlong grass test which has attracted a field of nine fillies and mares.
Maritimer, winner of the 2011 Coronation Futurity and champion Canadian 2-year-old, makes his first start since March 31 in Dubai in the $150,000 Autumn Stakes at Woodbine Nov. 10.
Hit It Rich, who last year won her first graded stakes in the Long Island Handicap, attempts to conclude her career with another victory in the race at Aqueduct Racetrack Nov. 10.
