Vino Rosso pulled away from Enticed nearing the finish and survived a stewards' inquiry to win the Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York, on Saturday. Vino Rosso earned 100 points toward qualifying for the Kentucky Derby.

Michigan's Hazel Park Raceway has agreed to sell its assets and will close after nearly 70 years of harness and thoroughbred racing. The facility opened in 1949 with a five-eighths-mile track.
