The 5/8-mile oval in South Sioux City, which was formerly known as Atokad Downs and had been dormant for years when it was purchased by the Nebraska Chapter of the Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association in 2001. The property underwent heavy restoration and was re-opened. The facility offers live thoroughbred racing in September and simulcast races year round.
